Privacy should be clear from the start
This policy explains what SchedAI uses, what stays on your device, and what only happens when you choose to turn it on.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers the SchedAI app and the SchedAI website. If we expand the product later, we will update this page so it stays current.
Who runs SchedAI
SchedAI is operated by Adeoluwa Adekoya.
What SchedAI stores on your device
SchedAI stores your tasks, planning preferences, reminder settings, work window, calendar sync choice, and your display name on your device. This information is used so the app can work the way you expect from one session to the next.
Calendar access
If you choose to enable Calendar sync, SchedAI asks for Calendar permission so it can create and update events in the calendar destination you choose, including a Google calendar already connected to iOS Calendar. SchedAI may also read event times from readable calendars to avoid scheduling tasks over existing commitments. It uses those times as busy blocks and does not store event titles from your other calendars. If you do not turn Calendar sync on, SchedAI does not read from or write to your Calendar.
Microphone and speech recognition
If you use voice planning, SchedAI asks for Microphone and Speech Recognition permission so spoken input can be turned into text for task planning. If you do not use voice planning, SchedAI does not need those permissions.
Optional AI parsing
SchedAI can preview tasks on device first. If you choose to improve a preview with AI, the task text you typed or spoke, the planning date, your locale, time zone, and an offline preview are sent to SchedAI's hosted parsing service and processed by OpenAI to return structured tasks. SchedAI also sends a random app-install client identifier so the service can prevent abuse, apply rate limits, and disable hosted AI for a specific app install if needed. This is used only to provide the task parsing feature. Do not include sensitive information in task text that you do not want processed by the hosted AI service.
Hosted AI improve is on by default for the Improve feature, and you can turn it off later in the app's Settings. SchedAI is designed not to store your submitted task text in a separate app database after parsing, but limited technical records or provider-side processing records may still exist for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, SchedAI asks for notification permission so it can send local reminders before tasks start. If reminders are off, no local reminders are scheduled.
Sign in with Apple
If you choose to share your Apple-provided name, SchedAI stores that display name locally on your device so the app can greet you by name. At launch, this flow is used only for local personalization inside the app. It does not create a SchedAI cloud account.
What SchedAI does not do at launch
At launch, SchedAI is designed around local planning with optional hosted AI parsing when you choose to use it. We do not use ads inside the app. We do not sell your personal information. If we add new cloud features later, this policy will be updated before those changes go live.
Website data
The website may receive basic technical information needed to load pages and protect the service. The site links to the live App Store listing, support, privacy, terms, and the browser planner. If you contact support by email, the details you send are used to respond to that request.
